WED 08.06.08 WOD

5 rounds for time of:

20 turkish get ups 26lbs KB (10 each arm)
225lbs back squat x 10
400 meter run
100 situps
20 KB swings 70lbs

i topped out at 48 minutes, made it through 4 rounds, not as rx'd--155# on the back squats.

is anybody else going to do this thing? i'm starting to believe you all got together and decided to put the screws to bruce. you know, y'all put together the nastiest wod you could find just to see if bruce could do it and you're all just laughing behind the scenes while i'm bruised and battered and withering in pain.

i especially want to see naylors posted time. come on man! you can't prescribe something like this and not do it yourself!

I couldn't go on from there. It's one thing to inflict pain, but another to annihilate oneself. I chose not the path of annihilation.

I think the Get-Ups and Backsquats, alone/by themselves, would have been one heck of a WOD...adding the rest was pure unadultered misery.

On a good note, I finally got my radio hooked up in the garage so I can at least listen to music when Naylor feels like inflicting this damage.

ah man, i was laughing so hard when i first wrote this WOD. i originally had the run at 800 meters!

i'm a day behind you guys. the wife wanted to hang out last night, so i'm doing pushpress liz tonight. i will tackle this monster tomorrow night!

oh and yeah 5 rounds is just stupid. i must admit. this should be a 3 round wod...hehe

it is 1:15 am and i am just laughing at this one. i am bruised...battered...and laughing. this wod should be named the "killer" or the "rhabdo", because i wanted to pass out or even see pukie rather than continue. but it turns out that i am the only one that is either stupid enough or too stubborn to wimp out after 3 rounds. i did all 5. after the 1st round of the turkish get up, i knew that this one would be trouble. i believe the first round took me 15 minutes. i tried the squats at 225 but it was painful, and lowered the weight to 185. the run was easy. the sit ups were enjoyable until round 3. the swings were done with a 55 lb dumbell. i initially thought that this would be a 40 min wod, but gave it all and finished in 1:24. yeah...1 hour and 24 minutes. the turkish gettup was the killer. sometimes i would get to my feet and stumble around trying to hold the position before lowering myself. brutal.....

and yes we did bury some egos with this wod. some major humiliation done with this one.

with me anyway it made me realize how weak i am.

and berb way to hang in there, your buddies at the globo gym had to be looking at you like you're nuts. look at it this way they were only halfway through their bench press and bicep workout even after your marathon 1:24 wod. 3 hour wods are not out of the question for those boys.
