saturday's wod the 'snatchsquatch'

Snatchsquatch
5 rounds
10 full snatch squat
40 double unders

The snatch squat is just a practice. Use whatever weight you feel comfortable doing. I'm just going to start with a bar and see if i can find a groove. Remember the full snatch squat starts from the ground then goes into a full squat with bar overhead. here is a video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qwK-dE9HytI

gents and ladies~
Quick update. had the doc appointment yesterday. Good news, everything is still in tact (and still works). So Naylor, thanks for the offer(of your kidney) , but looks like mine are fine, for now. Still waiting on a couple of lab results. And still battling High Blood pressure.(but that is because I have another 5mm stone going through the system). Sometimes it buckles me over nad has its way with me, but I am working it out. haha. Direc tdoc's orders, he wants me to really stay away from any strenious activity (Ibelive is how he put it), until MOnday. (at least I have a date now). Hopefull I will get the green light at that time! woohoo!
But I am here , anxious to get going! peace bruthas

good to hear homer!

last night i took my wife out on a surprise date to san diego's gas lamp district for some sushi. after that i went and saw "The Hold Steady" perform at this dinky little bar/club called The Casbah...pretty famous place actually. have you guys ever heard of The Hold Steady? they're starting to get pretty big now.

anyway, she was stoked! got home at 1am and my ears are still ringing.

the sasquatch: 8:44, only used a metal pipe for the weight on the snatches. these babys would be fun if i knew how to do it.

i hit 37 consecutive double unders, a personal best for me. they're still a lot of work and i know i'm not very efficient with them.

btw naylor, never heard of 'the hold steady', post one of their best songs here on the blog, if they have any available.
