it's amazing what a good night of sleep and a lazy sunday will do for a person.

i didn't see naylors post until 5:30 this morning so i went in with no preconceived notions and expected nothing. i did the first round in about 40 seconds and i just tried to keep up the pace of 3 rounds every 2 minutes. i didn't know if i could keep it up. i fully expected a bonk at about 15 minutes.

next time ill use my weighted vest.

holy cow super bruce...that is amazing.

i did 14 rounds, which for me was a 1st with true pullups and not jumping pullups. i can see that as soon as you master the pull up, you can fly. i kept pace for the first 8 rounds at about 1 minute per round. then started to weaken on the pullups.

i almost met pukie at about round 12. with only water in my system...i thought that there would be no way...but i had something tasty wanting to come up.

Nice, berb. I hope to never meet dear pukie.

Congrats on the pull-ups, too. I'm not sure about you, but I remember when I started this back in January PT, I could only do one or two pull-ups before passing out. Now, you just did 70 pull-ups. I'm not sure how many I'll get tonight when I do it, but it's the same feeling...

Awesome Berb!!! way to go with the pullups! 70 freaking pullups....... i remember just a couple of months ago in my garage you hit 3 in a row. that's some real volume.

Re: The Hold Steady.

I had/have never heard of them until Naylor mentioned it, but the tune is actually pretty catchy. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I hear a little bit of Social Distortion in them...

Naylor said...

you're right! i didn't think of that before. they seem to have an early 90's sound. they look like they're straight of an office cubicle.

well, 7 rounds into cindy i looked over at my stopwatch and it said 00:00!! i think i hit the reset button instead of start/stop. doh! so, i continued onto 20 rounds as quick as i could...maybe a 24 round pace.

then i wrapped it up with 10 more rounds of close under hand dead hangs pullups, ring pushups and squats (5,10,15) as punishment. LOL

Naylor said...

dead hangs were chest to bar. bonked my head on my beam about 4 or 5 times. that always feels good when you're on the edge of shaking hands with pukie.

Naylor, how's the head? I've done that a few times and it's painful, but I usually learn not to bump my head after the 1st time.

23 full rounds + 5 pull-ups + 10 push-ups.

Warm-up: 1 mile run (8:12)
