Really wanted to get 400# just to say I had 400#...but it just wasn't happening - got both attempts off the ground by approx. 1". I almost passed out after the last attempt...
But, I'm satisfied for now with 385#...a mere 65# to go to get my goal for 2009.
thanks bud...my form needs some work. i'm going to put some real focus on this movement and try to get to 500 this year. 415 felt pretty light, but my form goes to pot after that weight.

I know I was supposed to hit 5 singles, but when I hit that 345# that was good enouth, sometimes ending in full confidence is great satisfaction.
Now the pressure is on you dudies. You both should be able to blow me away.
I am excited about this. Doing the 2x bodyweight deadlifts have eluded me for too long.

that is great! keep it up...we are always looking for ways to bury tom and to keep him challenged and focused.
