you guys made me second guess myself, his time seems way too fast after watching the video of him with the 75lber. so i looked it up again and here is what it says:
I have been training as hard as possible since my last post. I have been really bad about getting on here and posting my workouts lately and I want to get back to doing it more often.
I had a really fast time on this one.......
15-12-9-6-3 of.......
sumo deadlift high pull- 115lbs push jerk-115lbs
I did it in 2:32. I am pretty proud of this time. See what you can do....... B-boy
the link: http://brendanevil.blogspot.com/2008/04/my-girl-shari-has-been-most-incredible.html
Seriously. I don't think there's anyway to pull a 2:32. I don't think that I could do 75lber in 2:32. Heck, I'd be pressed to do 45 push jerks in 2:32. Just saying. I'd really like to know how he pulled 2:32 and to know if that were a typo.
i did the first round of 15 reps in about 30 seconds and my back cramped up. i need to wait a few more days before i do any type of deadlift type motion. i think a 2:32 is very doable.
Warm-up: 1 mile run My back was really tight the entire WOD, in fact it's been spasming since Jake prescribed the Heavy Jeremy. Right now, it's in brutally stiff/uncomfortable shape, but I'm going to keep on chugging.
I think we need to mix some good old 3x3s or 5x5s or 1x1s in so that 115lbs gets feeling as light as 75lbs does. I might have been able to break 3:00 with a 75lber, but we need to get heavier so these weights feel lighter.
Naynay...I will be a friggin stud by next year. That 2:32 will fall in glorious fashion. Just give me some time to catch up and some time for my back to get back in order.
that's me, from my computer at home, sometimes i forget to log in.
i love to hear tommy come out in full force saying that he will crush brendan's time.....
i think 2:32 is doable, i won't come close today, but it's 90 total reps and brendan did it in 152 seconds. if you were strong enough you could pump it out.
tommy, why don't you ever prescribe some 5x3's or 5x5's? i keep waiting, but you keep sending us these 957 rep wods...
I couldn't last week or the week before. The week before was the BL return week. Last week you challenged me and we all know that you'd have pie all over your face if we did a 3x3 or 5x5 challenge. The 957 rep WODs were a direct result of your nannying.
i can't believe how high my hr gets when doing heavy weights as fast as possible. the weight wasn't as big of an issue as i thought, i was just gassed.

Brendan did this wod in 2:32.
i think tommy or naylor could beat his time.
You suck. I'll be luck to break 10:00. I was actually hoping you'd give us one of those 3x3x3x3x3 WODs or something.
i think brendan used 75lbs. 115lbs puts some pretty good strain on the shoulders...probably a good idea for newbies to use 75lbs for the SDHP.
i found brendan on youtube, not sure if this is the one you are talking about.

nice video. but, i found the wod posted on his blog. it was 115lbs he said he was 'really proud of his time' on this one.

That leaves you this week monkey for brains.
i'm just going to do curls and calf raises these next few days. hehe
make sure you throw in some good ol' shoulder shrugs. no workout is complete w/o them.
